I have somehow become enmeshed in reading multiple series. Series of three or more books are, of course, the thing--I do wonder whether there was every a pair of books?--so I should really watch for them when I start reading so that I can perhaps limit myself to the ones that have already been published in toto. On the other hand, it does give me something to look forward to. So these are the ones I'm waiting for currently (as much for my benefit as for yours!):
Written in My Own Heart's Blood by Diana Gabaldon - June 10, 2014
Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo - June 17, 2014
The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan - October 7, 2014
Waistcoats & Weaponry by Gail Carriger - November 4, 2014
Is that all? Surely there was another... Ah well. I will update as necessary!
In the meantime, I am trying very hard to stay dedicated to writing an article for actual print publication. It will draw on some of the Hunger Games material that I wrote for this blog, but in a more coherent, academic-argument sort of way. Wish me luck! (Seriously, because I need all the support I can get! It's very hard to remember why this publishing schtick is theoretically important...)

Okay, first of all, I feel bad that I haven't kept up with your blog and I'm responding to an old post. But I wanted to say DEFINITELY read Good Omens--it's really fun. I've had to let a lot of books in my library go, but this one I have kept, and once every six or seven years I read it again, as it's just that good.

It's in my Kindle. I really enjoyed American Gods. That one was pretty cerebral and existential, though. I need to gear up for Gaiman!
